Happy New Year At DiWine, Clink- Clink!

Jack Frost may nip at your nose, but you’ll stay toasty warm sipping the Roasted Pecan Eggnog Martini ($12) at DiWine Restaurant & Wine Bar (41-15 31st Avenue). Created by beverage director Joao Beiler, this seasonal drink is made with roasted pecan-infused bourbon, cinnamon simple syrup, egg yolk and a dash of heavy cream.

New Year’s Eve at DiWine features a special a la carte menu. Included in the evening’s offerings are Wild Mediterranean Shrimp with Roman polenta, roasted cocktail tomatoes, Persian lemon and herbs ($19), Roasted Baby Beets with breakfast radishes, orange segments, toasted pistachio, Vermont Creamery goat feta ($16), Truffle Mac-N-Cheese with Gruyere béchamel, wild mushrooms and garlic herb crumbs ($16), Cabernet Braised Beef Short Ribs with butter steamed new potatoes, baby carrots and rainbow micro greens ($30), and Pan Roasted Sea Scallops with oxtail marmalade, barley risotto and veal demi-glace ribbon ($35), along with many other popular DiWine dishes. There will also be a complimentary champagne toast at midnight, noisemakers and the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop from Times Square will be shown on a large screen. Reservations are recommended.

DiWine is one of Astoria’s most popular restaurants and wine bars. The restaurant features a French, Italian and New American-influenced menu, a global wine list with all bottles priced at $38 each, and a collection of thoughtfully curated cocktails that change seasonally. Dinner is served nightly, beginning at 5 pm, and brunch is served on the weekend from 11 am to 3 pm. Happy Hour is available Sunday through Thursday from 5 pm to 8 pm, and live music is featured on Thursday evenings and during Sunday brunch.
