Holiday Cooking Workshops

The holiday season has begun and many of us are running out of time to plan our holiday meals. If you are stuck on what to prepare this season, or just need some inspiration and fresh ideas, attend a local cooking workshop. Here are a couple of demonstrations/workshops to help with meal prep for the holiday season.

Edible Queens and Grow NYC presents a cooking demonstration by Chef Alfonso Zhicay of Casa del Chef Bistro at the Jackson Heights Greenmarket (34th Avenue) on December 2, from 11 am – 1 pm. The demonstration will feature recipes using local seasonal ingredients from the market.

The Bayside Historical Society at the Castle will be hosting a holiday cookie workshop on December 1, from 12 – 2 pm. Bring the kids! The workshop will cover decorating cookies celebrating the Christmas season. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served and a special appearance will be made by Santa Claus. The entry fee for the workshop is $5 per child/$15 per family.
