Socrates Sculpture Park’s Works Of Art

Socrates Sculpture Park features art by acclaimed artists— John Ahearn’s castings of members of the community; and Virginia Overton’s exhibition, “Built,” for example. But the five-acre waterfront park also promotes emerging artists and offers art workshops for artists of the future or just those who love art and want to get their feet—and hands— wet. Each year the park presents four major visual arts initiatives: The Spring/Summer Exhibition; The Emerging Artist Fellowship Program & The Socrates Annual Exhibition; The Folly/Function Architectural & Design Competition in Partnership with The Architectural League of New York; and The Broadway Billboard Series. In keeping with Socrates Park’s commitment to arts accessibility, admission to the park and all of their exhibitions is always free.
