Special, Unique, Affordable Gifts

Once again, local designers, bakers, artisans and vintage vendors will sell their wares at Bohemian Hall, just in time to start your holiday shopping, on the first three Sundays in December.

Over the course of the three market days there will be 120 vendors gathered to dazzle shoppers. Among them are FraMiATi shea butter products, who donates a bar of soap for each bar they sell (this year to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge); Strung Out Jewelry; Bridy Designs, Key and Arrow Leather handbags and wallets; and Queens Threads, who sell Queens-themed apparel.

If you can’t wait to see the products, Strung Out Jewelry sells at the Brass Owl in Astoria. Queens Threads has exhibited at Made in Queens at Resobox.

Diane Modic, founder and organizer of Astoria Market, said, “In 2016, there was more interest in the market than ever, and the three holiday events were a huge success. Now in its eighth season, the market has become a mainstay in the community and I expect 2017 to be better than ever. Furthermore, I am excited about all of the new talent and the creativity this year’s vendors will bring to Western Queens.”

To get in the spirit of the season, there will be a large Christmas tree in the garden, as well as trees for purchase in front of Bohemian Hall.

Astoria Market will be open on December 3, 10 and 17 from noon to 6 pm at Bohemian Hall, 29-19 24th Avenue, Astoria.
