Sides You Cannot Do Without

Cornbread
You might have to swat your guests away from the stove
when they get a whiff of this, so have it ready ahead of
time!
Ingredients
2 cups cornmeal
1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
2 tbs baking powder
1/2 tsp himalayan pink salt
2 cups non-dairy milk
2 tsps apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup organic coconut oil
2 tbsp organic maple syrup
Sugar to taste

Directions
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees and combine the milk and
apple cider vinegar in a bowl and whisk together
2) Combine all dry ingredients together in a medium sized
bowl and stir until well combined.
3) Add coconut oil and maple syrup to the bowl of wet ingredients and whisk well. Add sugar to your preference and
transfer the mixture to a baking pan and spread evenly.
4) Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30-35 minutes.

Ingredients
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp Earth Balance (vegan butter)
3 cups vegetable broth
2 tbsp miso paste
2 tbsp warm water
2 tsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp onion powder
Ground black pepper to taste

Directions
1) In a saucepan melt vegan butter, add flour and stir. When smooth, add
vegetable broth. Dissolve miso paste in warm water and add miso water,
soy sauce, onion powder and pepper. Stir until the desired thickness is
achieved.
