Frank Englezos is a native Astorian. Englezos said, “I was born at the Boulevard Hospital on 46th Street and 31st Avenue, that’s how Astoria I am. His father, George, started selling hot dogs on Steinway and 31st Avenue in 1970. In the ‘80s he introduced souvlaki to the neighborhood. Since then the Englezos family has participated in the business.
