Astoria Cove Has Rocky History

Now that the 2.2-million square foot 1,723 apartment Astoria Cove complex has now been approved, new residents will soon enjoy amazing views of the East River and the RFK (Triborough) Bridge.  However, before ground is broken and construction starts, an archeological examination of the site will be made at what is probably one of the oldest settled sites in the city’s history.
